 Flavio Daflon, 36,was born in Rio de Janeiro and has been climbing for 20 years. He has worked as a profissional rock climbing guide and instructor - certified by the Rio de Janeiro Climbing Guides Association (Aguiperj) - since 1995, when he established Companhia da Escalada Climbing School (The Climbing Company). In 1996, Flavio wrote the Urca Rock Climbing Guidebook for the Sugar Loaf area, with 275 routes. Now, it’s already in its 3rd edition. In 1998 he released a bi-monthly magazine 'Fator2', in  2004, he wrote the Tijuca Forest Climbing Guidebook, with 232 routes and in 2008 the technical book 'Escale Melhor e com Mais Segurança' (Climbing Better and Safer). Flavio speaks Spanish, English and has been climbing around Brazil, Switzerland, France, Italy, USA, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, Equador, Colombia, and Chile, where he climbed, in 2006, the North and Central Towers of Torres del Paine.

 Cintia Daflon, 34,has been climbing since 1994. She's very communicative and loves to teach. She's coauthor of the technical climbing book `Escale melhor e com Mais Segurança´ (Climbing Better and Safer) and editor of the climbing magazine 'Fator2'. She has climbed in Yosemite, Switzerland, France, Italy, and Patagonia, where she climbed, in 2007 and 2008, the Guillomet, Cerro Solo and Tellado Negro mountains. |

Flavio Leone, 34, was born in Rio de Janeiro and joined Companhia da Escalada Climbing School in 2005. Having climbed extensively in Rio since 1994, Leone has done more than 60 first ascents, including 300-meter routes. He's a patient and competent guide, certified by the Rio de Janeiro Climbing Guides Association (Aguiperj) and has sumited Vallecitos (5.300m) and Aconcagua (6.959m), the highest mountains in the southern hemisphere, both in Argentina. |

Silvio Neto, 30, joined Companhia da Escalada Climbing School in 2006. He has been climbing for 13 years, having started his climbing career in Rio de Janeiro. Since then, Neto has climbed in the Dolomites, France and Patagonia, where, with Alvaro Loureiro, he climbed Guillomet, Mermoz, Saint Exupery, Inominata and Aguja S. He has also climbed in Brazil from south to north. His patience and clear, progressive manner of teaching make for a fun and informative course. He is certified by the Rio de Janeiro Climbing Guides Association (Aguiperj). |

Alvaro Loureiro, 32, was born in Rio de Janeiro and joined Companhia da Escalada Climbing School in 2008. Alvaro has climbed many hard routes in Rio, red pointing several 5.13´s. He has been climbing for over 15 years and has climbed in Yosemite, Dolomitesand Patagonia, where he climbed Guillomet, Mermoz, Saint Exupery, Inominata and Aguja S. In Rio, he has done also some hard big walls: Tragados pelo Tempo at Corcovado and Crazy Muzungus at Teresopolis. He´s taking the exams to be certified by the Rio de Janeiro Climbing Guides Association (Aguiperj). |

Luiz Paulo, 47, was born in Rio de Janeiro and joined Companhia da Escalada Climbing School in 2008. Luiz speaks Spanish, English and has been climbing since 1992. Through his patient, professional, and thorough manner of instruction, he has already garnered a number of regular clients. With Flavio Leone, he has sumited Vallecitos (5.300m) in Argentina. He has also completed a course in ice climbing in Bariloche, Argentina. |
